Our common problem in this country is currently Donald Trump. Solving a problem relies first on knowing one has a problem. The truth is dawning. Donald Trump’s voters are discovering it is their problem, too.
Hardcore MAGA Q-Anon voters, the righteous tea-partiers of Main Street, see their man is blatantly lying about his friendship with the cold, dead pedophile Jeffrey Epstein.
People know there is no such thing as a passive witness to child abuse. When they see teenage girls with older men, they believe their eyes. And they rightly want Trump to do as promised and release the names of the complicit.
He is not doing it. Instead, he is lightening the punishment for Epstein’s hideous accomplice, the nepo-baby Maxwell. Plausible or not, Trump’s voters seem to see their problem. Our problem. It is a fact and they seem big enough to admit it. They share our problem, Donald Trump.
Defining a common problem can be the beginning of finding common opportunity. Trump and men like Trump have treated young girls as commodities, not as people.
Perversion is not partisan. People know it.
Thanks, Greg!
Great column!!! On Yahoo, someone's describing the WSJ as the "left-leaning WSJ." I never thought I'd live to see the day!
